Important Hotel Reservations/ Information:

We will be at the Sofitel Hotel: Based on the escalating costs of having our meeting at the Willard (which was our tradition), we decided to look elsewhere this year. We were able to get a much better room rate than at the Willard, and the cost of meeting space and food is much less as well.

Hotel reservations must be made by August 10 to reserve in the block. We have been assured by the hotel that our group rate is lower than any online rate, but if you find something different, please let us know. We are hoping you all will reserve in the group block and stay at the Sofitel as we are responsible for a certain number of rooms regardless of whether they are filled. We do our best to estimate the number of attendees, but as you all know, it varies from year to year, and we negotiated the best possible deal for the lowest rates.

It is important to note that if you reserve online it has already selected for you a room for 2 nights (Thursday and Friday nights). There is an edit button on the right side of that page if you want to change the number of nights you want. Evidently, the hotel does not have a lot of rooms with 2 beds. Our members, however, can e-mail Bruna, Bruna.NELSON@sofitel.com, with a request and she can get them 2 beds for the $349 rate if they are available. They also have rollaway cots and they are $50 – available on a first come first basis.
